What is a List Randomizer?

A List Randomizer mixes the items of a list so that every order is equally likely, or picks a single random item from it. Paste one item per line and choose Shuffle to reorder the whole list or Pick one to draw a single winner.

How is the shuffle random?

The tool uses the Fisher-Yates algorithm with a cryptographic-quality random source, so every possible order has the same probability. The result is fair — ideal for drawing raffles, assigning turns or randomizing test data.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Everything happens in your browser; your list is never sent anywhere. Runs fully client-side.

What a good shuffle guarantees

A true shuffle treats every ordering as equally likely, so results are fair for raffles and random picks. The tool reseeds the order each time you run it — a new draw, not the same pattern recycled.

When not to shuffle

Use it for draws, learning order and breaking index order in lists. Do not rely on it for anything deterministic or reversible — a shuffled list is destroyed order, so keep a copy when the original matters.
