What is a Tip Calculator?

A Tip Calculator works out the tip on a bill, the total to pay and the share for each person when the bill is split evenly. Enter the bill amount, choose a tip percentage from 5% to 25% and set the number of people; the tip amount, total and per-person share update immediately.

How is the per-person share calculated?

The tool adds the bill and the tip, then divides by the number of people. A ₺400 bill with a 15% tip (₺60) split between 4 people comes to ₺115 per person; dividing the ₺460 total between 3 people gives ₺153.33 each.

Which tip percentages are available?

• 5% — a minimum gesture for basic service.
• 10% — common in casual or buffet service.
• 15% — the standard tip in many countries.
• 20% and 25% — for great service or larger groups.
